Vibo Telecom, one of the five operators of 3G mobile communication services in Taiwan, on January 11 released its 2007 financial report, with revenues increasing by 9.7% and net losses decreasing by 20.0% from 2006.
While still suffering losses, Vibo’s business operation is improving, the company emphasized. Vibo’s operating cost in subsidizing subscribers purchases of 3G handsets and paying commission to sales agents decreased from NT$1.9 billion (US$2.8 million) in 2006 to NT$700 million in 2007, the company indicated.
